For five Thursday evenings in July, join us in afO’s studio to read aloud one act per week. Come to participate or just to listen! Learn more about the play’s background, and hear explanatory introductions to each scene. Stay for refreshments and discussion after each week’s reading.

Whether you’re a Shakespeare lover, or wish you knew more about England’s greatest playwright, this is the perfect fun summer event for you!

Roles will be claimed first-come/first-served each week, but we request that no actor reads the same role in consecutive weeks. (In other words, if you played Portia last week, let someone else read her lines this week.)  We’ll also provide a collection of furniture, props and costume pieces for you to use.

Please bring your own script.

Spots are limited to 40 per week, and the cost is $10 per session. Sessions meet 7:00 to 9:00 PM, July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.
