What to expect at Out of the Box

Now you know more about Out of the Box and who is involved, but what can you actually expect when you show up? What will the evening look like?

First of all, the location. We’re in a new space for this year’s show. Life Community Church in Bluffton has a wonderful room that is just the right size for us, and has graciously allowed us to commandeer it for a few days!

Out of the Box involves both drama and music, so you can expect there to be a few musical numbers during the evening. We’re hoping that you’ll sing along with the familiar tunes and have some fun with us!

You’ll also get to see two one-act plays in the same night! Writer’s Block, by Allison Cwanek, puts us in the imaginations of two writers trying to collaborate on a fantasy novel. You’re in Jeopardy!, by Torilinn Cwanek and Esther Powers, takes place on the set of a mad-cap game show with an out-of-control guest host where YOU are the live studio audience! Both one-acts focus on the themes of cooperation and teamwork and underscore the truth of Philippians 2:3-4.

The run time is approximately 90 minutes, with a 15 minute intermission that includes complimentary refreshments (delicious cookies generously donated by Nolt’s Marketplace!). This will be a fun night for the whole family! The relaxed and casual nature of the evening is well suited to bringing younger children. 

Tickets are $10 each online and $14 at the door. But seating is limited to 50 seats per performance, so get your tickets today to make sure you don’t miss out!
