What is “Out of the Box”?  It’s out of the ordinary, off the beaten track, away from routine. Step outside our usual performance venue, the ArtsLab black box theater, and experience an intimate and casual setting for storytelling and music. For our inaugural event, we are pleased to present one old favorite and one brand new piece. The Redemption of Ruth, a blank verse reader’s theatre telling of the Biblical story, will warm your hearts. Repeat Back to Me, a very honest short piece about marriage and communication, will tickle your ribs…and may have you poking your neighbor’s rib, too. With musical selections by David Eisenhauer and Anna Macke, and refreshments courtesy of Nolt’s Marketplace, this will be a perfect mid-winter pick-me-up to share with someone special.
